I just read in the Weekend Australian that Ruth Ostrow, one of the columnists, also won a prize at last. I’m not sure if hers was better than mine. She won a bowel cancer test kit. This could have health benefits at least.
But what the heck. It’s not about the prize. It’s about winning that counts - the feeling that the universe is smiling on you and your luck has changed at last.
I was even thinking about buying a Lotto ticket, but I just got an absolutely outrageous phone bill.
