Autumn Colour

At a time when little is flowering this Matisse -like garden is a treat I love Hobart's Olde Worlde Gardens. people still take the trouble to grow spectactular annuals and prune their roses There are old - fashioned favourites like Hyrangeas, Snapdragons, and stocks and you are sure to come upon fragrant clumps of lavender, violets and Sweet Alice.  There'll be Magnolias and Liquid Ambers - now just coming into their own and things like Peonies and Delphiniums which I had  previously only saw in florists.  Such a joy, especially when things look bleak.    Mysterious Hellebores Another view showing an overgrown fountain
